Urr Water or River Urr (''arc. River Orr'') is a river in southwest Scotland. Entirely within Dumfries and Galloway, the Urr Water originates at Glenlair, and flows southwards for thirty miles from Loch Urr to its outflow into the Solway Firth at Rough Firth. The village of Kippford stands near the head of the firth where the Urr Water reaches the sea; the only other coastal settlement of any size is Rockcliffe. The principal settlement on the river is Dalbeattie. The River Urr is noted for salmon fishing.〔(River Urr ), glenlair.org.uk〕 The river also flows past the village Haugh of Urr, in the Urr parish. The name 'Urr' is from Cumbric ''or'' 'a border, boundary, limit'. ==References== ;Urr Water File:Urr Water upstream.jpg|Urr Water upstream, 2007 - View from old Ramhill bridge near Haugh of Urr File:Down the Urr Water from Palnackie Harbour - geograph.org.uk - 70094.jpg|Urr Water near Palnackie, 2005 ;Urr Water estuary File:Yachts moored in Urr Water estuary (Rough Firth) - geograph.org.uk - 14421.jpg|Yachts moored in Urr Water estuary, (Rough Firth, near Kippford), 2005 File:Urr Water , Kipford - geograph.org.uk - 297153.jpg|Urr Water estuary, 2006 File:Kippfordsunset.jpg|Urr Water estuary, 2006 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Urr Water」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
